One of my sons friends came to his 6th birthday party with this camera and he was so interested in it he asked for one. Its chunky and solid , takes good pictures but the best part is the things you can do to enhance those pictures - put bars in front of their face or bend their face out of shape- fantastic fun and lots of entertainment value. Alomg with the games you can play on it, keeps him quiet for hours. Infact my 9 year old is dead jealous and she has a proper digital camera!

This camera is superb fun for adults, never mind the kids! The features of the kidizoom 'plus' include being able to distort faces, add hair, make kaleidoscope images etc with the camera as well as on the computer, so it makes taking them really fun, with instant results. It only has 2 megapixels, so it's mever going to take fantastic shots that look great when large, but we have printed off many good photos, and my 4 and half year old can navigate around most of the functions easily. Of course, it's so much fun, everyone wants a shot, but we just let other kids play with it too- it really does look pretty robust and lets them have free rein without worrying about dropping it, and most kids over about 2 would at least be able to take some sort of picture- buttons are easy. One downside it has a tiny zoom- don't know why they bothered at all!

This camera is brilliant, my 3 year old loves it. Theres quite a lot that is too advanced for him at the moment but as it is super tough I expect as he grows it will still entertain him. not only is it a camera but there is a video function and games to play. the games are very simplistic and anyone used to playing computer games may be a bit disappointed with the graphics however for the young children it is aimed at i think they are satisfactory and a welcome distraction on a day out. The picture quality is excellent, the 2 viewfinders are ideal for little ones as are the chunky rubber handles either side, also comes with a removable wrist strap that is adult sized and should probably be a bit smaller. overall excellent value for money, a super tough camera ideal for young children.
